This works and one doesn't need to be a subscriber to use this service.
It is a really great way to get stock and market index quotes and up to
the minute news headlines without picking through a big web page with
lots of links and ads. Check it out.

NEW FEATURES
from The Wall Street Journal

Dear Subscriber,

Are you addicted to instant messaging? The Wall Street Journal Online has
launched a new feature on AOL Instant Messenger that allows you to get
the
latest news using this real-time tool.

By sending an instant message to screen name "WSJOnline," you can read
continually updated summaries of top U.S. and global business news, and
get updates on the markets and the technology sector. You can also access
stock quotes, get the very latest headlines on companies and more. Links
take you back to the Online Journal Web site so you can get full news and
in-depth company research.

ALREADY HAVE AOL INSTANT MESSENGER?
If you already have AOL Instant Messenger, you can try out this feature
now by sending an instant message to screen name WSJOnline. Or, cut and
paste the following command into the address window of your browser,
which will launch AOL Instant Messenger, then hit "Send":

aim:goim?screenname=WSJOnline&message=Hi

From there, follow the instructions to get latest top news, company
headlines, stock quotes and more. Once you've tried it, just add
WSJOnline to your Buddy List for easy access, and send it a message
anytime you want the latest news.

DON'T HAVE AOL INSTANT MESSENGER?
If you don't have AOL Instant Messenger and would like to download it
now (it's free), click on this link:

http://aim.aol.com/aimnew/newreg/register2.adp?promo=

Once you've downloaded it, follow the instructions above to start
reading Online Journal news.

If you have questions about how to use this feature, you can contact
our Customer Service department by phone at 1-800-369-2834 between 7am
and 12 midnight ET, Monday-Friday, or by e-mail at

Sincerely,
Todd Larsen
