Hello all,

In mid-March, I posted a question asking whether anyone on the List had a reaction to Tazo Teas, including the ones that are indicated by the company to be gluten-free. Four people responded with two saying that they, too, had bad reactions to the teas. People's responses are below. I've concluded that even if the teas are gluten-free, I must be reacting to something in the way the teas are processed. So I'll stick to other gluten-free brands. Thanks to all who emailed me in response!

I think I've had a reaction to TAZO Awake Tea, also. I just tried some since reading a post (here) about it. I've stopped drinking it - I'm also in the midst of determining what is best for my belly(in my tea): lactaid, soymilk or goat's milk, so it may be my milk issue that's troubling me. I seem to be ok with Lipton. I'm still questioning Twinings English Breakfast Tea. Would love to know if any green teas are ok! Look forward to your summary.

Tazo teas have made me sick in the past, but I am not sure whether they were an "approved" variety, because it was a long time back. I also can't use Celestial Seasonings teas, no matter what the flavor, and just stick to straight green or Earl Grey any more. Stash and Salada seem okay if I stay away from the herbal mix kinds.

Probably, someone has written that some teabags have gluten because of glue. There could be several ingredients in the tea. Is it herbal tea?

I drink them all the time without a problem. It may be you are reacting to something else if you can have other teas without a problem. It may be a delayed reaction from something you had earlier, even the day before. Just a thought.
