I'm sure it will be interesting, especially to coeliacs in Ireland but fear that by focusing on the west of Ireland some old myths about CD being more prevalent amongst Celts etc. will be reiterated (whereas the highest incidence of CD has been found amongst Arabs in Saharan Morocco). It might be worth people in the UK checking with the BBC that they have used all the up to date info especially given the BBC gaff about gluten earlier this week...If they don't have the latest figures on CD from healthy population screenings in the UK (about 1%) and rest of Europe they haven't done their hoemwork. One of the BBC health sites quotes 1 in 1200 which is antideluvian in out-datedness.
