I have been buying Glutano's GF cookies for my daughter for a few years now.
I have recently discovered that some of Glutano's products that did not
contain nut allergy warnings or whose boxes indicated that they were nut
free can no longer be considered nut-free (If you are allergic to nuts,
beware). I questioned the on-line store where I purchased the cookies and
was told that:
"Glutano's position in regard to their products is that although some
products do not contain nuts, they are often transported with products that
DO contain nuts and CAN BE CROSS-CONTAMINATED. Therefore, the definitive
answer with regard to any Glutano products, is that we DO NOT RECOMMEND
these products to any person with NUT ALLERGIES. "
In any case, now I need to find some new ready-made nut-free, wheat free
cookies for my child. If you have tried any of the following products
listed in Miss Roben's catalog, will you please let me how you like them and
if an 8 year old would like them? I hate to spend all that money only to
find the product has an unpleasant flavor or texture. Also, Miss Roben's
catalog lists these as nut free, but if you know otherwise, please let me
know. If you can recommend other nut free, GF, ready-made cookies, I would
appreciate that too! Thanks for your help. I'll summarize.
