My son and I have celiac disease. We try to be as natural sa possible so we
really avoid laxatives. The best strategy we have found that keeps the bowels
open naturally is flax meal. It can be bought in health food stores or the
seeds can be ground in a coffee grinder and added as a topping to your meals.
Works great, provides essential fats omega 3 and 6 and does not irritate the
GI tract.
