I joined this list a few months back with every intention of
transitioning to a more Paleo diet/lifestyle...
I've found it down near next to impossible. I have a very picky
eater/partner, no chicken yes turkey, no beef yes to pork, and loves his
beans and rice...as do i...
My body and mind are calling out for the purer, healthier diet I know
paleo can be. Maybe I just don't have the discipline. Maybe it is time.
We end up going out or ordering in often because both of us are too
tired to cook, and I've lost my desire and love for cooking for the most
part. Cooking everyday just mkes it detestable..more a chore than I'd
like.(though I suppose hunting and gathering might be a chore as well,
but somehow I feel I would enjoy hunting for berries and javelina more
than sitting in the office all day)
I'm basically in charge of the grocieres, but I have to please myself as
well as my partner.
I have done fairy well in avoiding pastas and breads, but tortillas,
rice and potatoes seem to come into play every week in some form or
another. I find it so hard to come up with interesting PALEO meals...
So I haven't been very good at this. :( Does anyone have any suggestions
on how to climb back on the wagon? Simple meals that don't require lots
of prep work and still fit within a reasonable budget. I desperately
want to eat organic/free range meats, in preference to the store bought
plastic package, but it is rather pricey...
So I'm looking for a little encouragement and some tried and true advice
from those who have gone before me.
 Thanks
darcey
