I telephoned the STella Doro company and thanked them for its decision
to stay dairy-free and that I would go out and buy, for the first time,
one of their products to further show my appreciation.

I did so yesterday and was disappointed (but not surprised) to see that
they use partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, much like probably 99% of
all mass-produced baked goods. I've recently (finally) figured out that
I'm sensitive to this dreck they use, and, like a blessing in disguise,
I now have a good reason to stay away from yet another junk food! My
reactions to this glop (I've begun to detect its presence by the fact
that it sticks to the roof of my mouth), are much the same as what I get
from caseine--fatigue, migraine, intestinal cramping.

I celebrated by cooking myself up a giant batch (about 20 7-inch
diameter) chocolate chip cookies (non-dairy) using all fresh
ingredients. I've eaten about four of them already in the last 24 hours
and I'm happy to say that I've not had one reaction, I got my sugar and
chocolate fix, and I feel great!
