I've never heard that term, "voice emulation software" its not
yet part of my normal computer dictionary. <GRIN>

Emulation usually means one system acting like another.  so I'd
have to take it that voice emulation would mean software that
sounds like a voice. Also known as speech synthesis.

Neither jaws, windoweyes, or dragon is speech synthesis.  Jaws
and Windoweyes use speech synthesis of one kind or another if
they are using speech output, but neither program knows anything
about speech.

Dragon recognizes speech, but I'd find it hard to call that
emulation.

Sounds like somebody is mis using the word emulation.
