Disability Group Looks to Purchase Radio Station

RCPD SEEKS INVESTORS FOR CHICAGO RADIO STATION PURCHASE...scroll for
details.

ON A ROLL ON THE ROAD
This weekend, I'll be in Boston, speaking at the Laboratory Products
Association Spring Meeting. I'm really looking forward to visiting
the home of disability rights leader Fred Fay. I'll be doing the show
Sunday from the studios of WDIS-AM in Boston, and will be getting
around in a Wheelchair Getaways van.

THIS WEEK'S SHOW
SUNDAY, APRIL 18 9 -11 PM EDT

With Jack Kevorkian making daily headlines even from behind bars, the
issue of physician assisted suicide is center stage. Is it a slippery
slope that can lead to the encouragement of death for people with
disabilities, or is it a freedom and an option that everyone should
have? This week, we'll have an interesting debate between two high
profile figures in the disability community. Hugh Gallager, the noted
author and historian, was recently appointed to the board of directors
of Compassion in Dying, an Oregon based non-profit that supports
doctor assisted suicide. Diane Coleman is the founder of Not Dead
Yet, the grass-roots activist organization that led the charge against
Kevorkian. You can participate in this discussion from anywhere in the
US. Call 1-800-960-GREG or 1-800-960-4734 shortly after 9PM on
Sunday.

Also in this show, we'll be joined by disabled entrepreneur
Andrew Goodyear, owner of the Wheelchair Getaways franchise in South
Florida. And Fred Fay will join us to talk about accommodating your
environment. Fred has done that well. Due to a cyst on his spine, he
can not sit up. Yet he is mobile with his automated "wheelbed," his
computer mounted above his head, and other gadgets that I will have
witnessed firsthand prior to going on the air!

SEEKING INTERNET HOME
Please help me e-mail radio stations that broacast on the Internet and
ask them to carry "On A Roll." Our best chance now is KZNG in Hot
Springs, Arkansas. Please visit their web site at
http://www.amfm.net/kzng and send e-mail to [log in to unmask] If
you really want to help, visit the Broadcast.com page that lists talk
stations which stream audio and e-mail those stations. The URL is

RADIO CENTER EYES PURCHASE OF CHICAGO STATION. INVESTORS NEEDED!
I am working on a project that will be self sustaining and would
yeild a significant return for investors: The purchase of a Chicago
area radio station, appreciating in value, that will be used to train
people with disabilities for radio industry jobs. As you know, I was
featured in the Wall Street Journal on Februrary 25. (see
http://www.onarollradio.com ) Several new opportunities followed,
including an offer to syndicate my program from Brad Saul, a long-time
radio syndicator, who is also disabled (multiple sclerosis). Brad had
recently founded a non-profit called the "Radio Center for People with
Disabilities" and established the mission of training people with
disabilities for in-demand jobs in the radio industry. Support from
key industry people has emerged, and the initial board of directors
includes the VP and GM of Arbitron, Pierre Bouvard; the Publisher and
CEO of "Radio & Records," Erica Farber; and the Operations Manager at
WMAQ in Chicago, Lorna Gladstone. We have a letter of support from
Bill Kennard, Chairman of the FCC, and are approaching radio industry
group owners for financial backing for our $700,000 operating budget.

The opportunity to buy the station is outlined in a letter of
intent from its current owner, Catholic Family Radio, and Mr. John
Lynch. Mr. Lynch has agreed to hold off on the sale of the property,
valued at $5 million for 30 days, and give the Radio Center for People
with Disabilities exclusive rights to purchase the station within that
time frame. We need to raise money to qualify for financing, or
ultimately raise the entire $5 million. It is also worth noting that
CFRS will be buying back a significant portion of radio block airtime
(7PM - Midnight, 7 days per week), which should bring us revenues of
nearly $1 fillion per year for the first two years.

The station is WAUR 930 AM, located in Aurora, Illinois. It has
metropolitan area solidly during the day. This is a TREMENDOUS
opportunity for the disability community. If we can buy and operate
our own radio station, we can employ people with disabilities at the
station, and use it for hands-on training! And the long term vision
includes duplicating the process in other markets, creating a group of
disability-owned and operated stations.

If you are seriously interested in investing in this opportunity
and would like a business plan, contact me at 937-767-1838
