Subject: Accommodation
Hi Listers,
I know that this is off subject, but I am desperate for help. I am a
auditor with the Air Force and have recently been given a notice of
termination. My employer believes that the accommodation of a reader that
I requested would result in an undo hardship. They indicated that a entry
level auditor would need to be hired because the reader would need to
analyze data and draw conclusion on my behalf. This conclusion appears to
be incorrect based on my understanding of a reader's responsibility. So
what I am looking for is a blind auditor/CPA that uses a reader to assist
him/her
If anyone has any information or knows anyone that might help, please
contact me privately at [log in to unmask] Also, I will be willing to
provide a copy of the letter that the Air Force gave me, along with the
site survey that the Washington Assistive Technology Alliance performed.
Thanks in advance
Jim
