I have an Epson Cx-5200 and a Cx-5400, 3-in-1 - scan, copy, print. With
rebates, sales, ran $120 and free-after-purchase of camera.
Copy photo copies were quite good, used mostly for copies and printing. Ink
runs $12 each for each of 3 colors, about $30 for black. Colors can be
changed 1 at a time, should save a little money. Jets clog occasionally on
the 5200, utility seems to clear it up for a few weeks, but we don't print
daily either.
Scans can be faxed with fax software from pc/modem usually.
You need to see what functions you expect to use most often, most Staples,
OfficeMax, etc. have working machines that can be tested by making copies.
Try a few out in the store, check ink prices too.
