Errol
Repartition the Samsung and make it an extended partition, do not make it a
primary dos partition using fdisk. Excuse me if you know how to do this but
from your question I can't tell. From a dos prompt type 'fdisk', then
select #5 Change current fixed disk, then select the samsung, it should be
#2, type 2, then press enter. Now type 1, Create DOS partition or Logical
Drive, press enter, type 2, Create Extended DOS Partition, press enter.
Then you will be prompted for the size. This is a personal decision. When
done reboot the computer and then format the new partition. You can check
where it is with fdisk again. This time when you run fdisk type 5 and you
should see that drive 1 is C & D and drive 2 is drive E.
