When doing strict paleo, I notice that I eat many of the same foods day in
and day out. I tend to eat lots of macadamia nuts and macadamia nut oil
but never pecans. My doctor suggested I try a food intolerance test
(ALCAT) to see if I've developed an intolerance to some of my most commonly
eaten paleo foods. Well, to make a long story short think I may have just
wasted a ton of money. The test indicated I had a had a significant
reaction to pecans which I haven't eaten in several years! The test did
not include macadamias but I'm wondering if there's any chance that they
are in the same family as pecans. Any info would be most appreciated.
