You are all barking up the wrong tree.
Rather than killing bacteria, which do not eat healthy living flesh, why
not keep the wound clean?
There would then be no rot for bacteria to eat.

The only time I had a problem with hole left from extracted tooth was when
the sloppy dentist left a fragment of the tooth in the hole.
