I think cholesterol levels are largely genetic.  I am female and my hdl
varies between 90s to 128.  My last physical for life insurance showed the
following cholesterol and triglyceride numbers: Total Cholesterol 274; HDL:
128.4; LDL137; Triglycerides: 45

 High hdl can also by symptomatic of low thyroid.
