Hi --

If your baby is sometimes getting sick from formula, but not all the time,
then it may be that the formula is getting diluted in her digestive tract
by other foods she's eaten. (You did say she's on solids now, right?) It
may also be that she's not only allergic/intolerant to cow's milk protein,
but has a problem with something else that she's eating, and it's the two
of them together that put her into overload.

Remember that it's not mere exposure to an allergen that can cause a reaction,
but exposure to ENOUGH of an allergen, or enough allergens. (This is "allergic
load".)

If she's not alleric to soy, I'd try a soy-based formula. Or if you can,
return to exclusive breastfeeding (plus the gradual introduction of solids).

Remember that when you wean from the breast, you don't wean TO formula or milk.
Rather, you wean to a well-balanced diet, which may include any variety of nutritonal sources that
your baby can handle.

I hope this helps,
