It's addling to see how majority of the postings on these online forums
espouse the power of media freedom and respect for one's right and yet you
come across such amateurish gibberish by those whose rights have been
advocated here at all cost.
I can understand the competitive pressures on news paper journalism but the
guide post must always remian - What best serves the interests of the
reader and the public while remaining fair to those named in the story and
those responsible for the source of the news? Not: Can we beat our
competitors even though we haven't nailed down this story?

home. Who knows, perhaps that particular reporter have had someone pay him
to publish a damaging story about someone else or may have been privy to
such transaction journalism in the past. Makes you wonder.
