There is an old Spencer Tracy movie which includes lines to the effect
that language is a poor form of communication, and we ought to use all
the words we have, because there are damned few words anyone
understands anymore. The point was made in defense of his use of mild
vulgarities. I like the above example of nonverbal vulgarity as well.
