The 1Gig Intel is a socket 370 FC-PGA processor. The Aptiva is a socket 7 CPU. The best you can hope for there is to get a good sized fan/heatsink and overclock the AMD to 600Mhz. This can be done by setting the clock multiplier to x2 which the CPU sees as x6.
In all reality, I would get a new motherboard that could use your 1Gig Intel.
