What network speed are you trying to improve? The Internet speaks IP; IPX
is going to get to your router, or perhaps as far as the cable provider's
router, and stop.
If you are NOT using a switch (or "switched hub") [If your router offers
more than one LAN port, it probably incorporates a switch....] , then you
may get better LAN throughput by using NetBEUI.
