I didn't just start low-carbing -- I had been on a prolonged stall -- I
didn't just low-carb for 2 days and then do a carb up -- there were several months
of low carb followed by the carb-up experiment.
Since my carbs are generally way under 20 grams per day, I find it hard to
believe that I am carrying around much extra water. However, the timing of my
weigh-in was during the premenstrual week when I would fully expect to weigh in
heavier due to normal hormonal water retention. Also, since I keep carbs so
low, one would normally expect a water gain after a carb up -- not a water
loss. Perhaps I was just due for a spurt of loss and my stall was due to break
naturally -- who knows. All I know is I'm glad the scale is moving in the
right direction and my clothes are fitting better.
