But, doesn't the genetic reason (ie; the enzyme) allow for the digestion of
the natural toxin, alcohol, and that moderate amounts of this toxin also
correlate with (but not necessarily found to cause) benefits in health?

In other words, is it not plausible that ingestion of moderate amount of
alcohol can lead to reduced stress in an individual on a daily basis, a
factor which would lead to these benefits?

In other words it is not the alcohol per se that actually prevents or lowers
incidences of heart disease but the associated factors that do (like reduced
stress).
