I think there's more to it than that for paleo eaters. For example: when I
feed my dog an exclusively raw diet of meat, bones, veg, etc. she will drink
VERY little water; she meets all her liquid requirements from diet alone.
When I feed her any grains, her water consumption goes up dramatically.
If we eat a species appropriate diet, i.e. no grains, we will require less
fluids also.
