Have you ever tried stevia?  I haven't made a sweet treat in a while but I
have it every day in iced tea and have no problems.  If you've never heard
of it, it's an all-natural sweetener (made from a plant native to South
American) with no calories and no carbs.  Call around and see if any area
health food stores carry 'now' brand; it's FAR less than the competition!
You can get liquid or powdered extract as well as ground dried leaves.
