I am curious if any of you have tried using the individual serving size
packets of "soy sauce" from Jadine Food Products, Inc. These are available
at just about every Chinese restaurant I've been to in this area
(Washington, DC suburbs). The ingredients list on the packet includes:
water, salt, soy protein, and 1/10 of 1% sodium benzoate. Last year I did a
web search and found a phone number for the company. I called and they
assured me there was no wheat in it.

My 5 year old daughter has CD but very few symptoms. She has diabetes and
was screened for CD because the two are frequently linked. She had a
positive biopsy two years ago and has been GF since then. A repeat biopsy
and blood tests this January showed full recovery.

I have been using the Jadine soy sauce packets at our local Chinese
restaurant on fried rice ordered without soy sauce and she just loves it. I
would love to recommend this convenient tip to other Celiacs but have been
hesitant because Amelia doesn't show clear symptoms if we slip up.  If you
have been using these packets with or without problems, please let me know.
I would like to feel more confident that I am not feeding her gluten by
mistake.  Thanks.
