Hi all, my name is Jupiter in San Francisco and I'm exploring the
gluten-free lifestyle. I was very aggresively screened for celiac disease
including multiple biopsies endocscopy and examination of my slides by the
Mayo Clinic.
The diagnosis was negative (no celiac). I was ingesting lots of gluten at
the time of testing. However, I am still curious to see if going GF would
help my chronic fatigue and abnormal bowel sounds/smells.
I'm looking into taking PROPECIA sometime down the line. Propecia is a
medication made by Merk, designed to slow down or prevent male-pattern
baldness.
The Merk helpline tells me that there is a kind of starch in the medication
that contains some kind of gluten but not the kind that is a problem for
celiacs. Also I found this list online of medications that are supposedly
gluten-free.

Propecia is on the list. But I'm still confused about the gluten content,
and the customer people on the phone are just reading a script.
Does anyone know if Propecia is deemed safe for celiacs?
Thanks!!!!!
