I just wanted to mention that my endo, Dr. Elizabeth Mason in Norfolk VA has gotten positive sera tests for celiac on two of her patients (not including me who came to her already a DXed celiac). They were both under care of separate GIs, boy were they embarrassed. I don't know if these were diabetes patients or thyroid patients, both of which fall under endocrinology, but I thought that was pretty significant. She now asks all her patients about bowel symptoms.
