Hi listees,

I joined this listserve after my CD diagnosis in April 98 at age 55. I have gleaned
so much good info from this list that I couldn't have gotten from anywhere else.
This listserve has been a treasure trove of of resources for GF info, food, and
restaurants in and out of the country.

Thanks to
all of you for being there.

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer in my right breast and had a
lumpectomy on 24 Mar 03. It was bad enough hearing the bad news from my dr. about
breast cancer, but the biopsy of the lymph nodes came back with bad news, too; they
are embedded with carcinoma. The good news is that the margins around the mass (2cm)
were clear (whew!!).

I'll be starting chemo within the next 2 weeks and know I'll be taking some oral meds
for nausea, building up my white blood cell count, and keeping me from becoming anemic
again. I think I've read on the listserve that Tamoxifen is GF. Any recent confirmations
of that? I'm used to calling manufacturers about ingredients, but right now, I just would just
like some suggestions from other list members on what meds they've been taking.

Thanks for all your suggestions and help in advance.

Elaine Green
