I have a friend who wants to bring something that I can eat to a
gathering I'm having soon. She said she dips strawberries in this
chocolate and everyone raves about it. The ingredients sounded
safe to me. I called Saco Foods at 1-800-373-7226 yesterday (03-07-03)
and spoke to Virginia. She verified that it is GF. They also have a
website www.sacofoods.com . I visited it and found the following in
their FAQ's:

Question: I am a gluten-intolerant person (Celiac Sprue Disease),
and would like to know which of your products are suitable for my
gluten-free diet. Many preservatives, extracts, gums, etc., are sources
of gluten because the process used to make those ingredients involve
a gluten-containing grain of some kind.

Answer: According to our manufacturers, the following items are
Gluten-Free:
Mix'n Drink, Buttermilk Blend, Baking Cocoa, Chunks, Dolci Frutta,
and Kwik Kream.

Not Gluten-Free:
No Sugar Added Hot Cocoa, and the Regular Hot Cocoa.

My friend said she buys this product in regular supermarkets. Enjoy!
