However, for the moment, due to accessibility problems, vlind and
visually-impaired users are reverting back to version 2, the version that
ends with the final characters 48. The newer versions are not nearly as
accessible.
Also, one of the members of that list has just been contacted by the
software team of Skype, and asked to join them in making Skype accessible
via Microsoft's accessibility platform. So it looks like Skype is committed
to making it's product accessible to those of us who depend on screen
readers to access their great product.

Hi Folks,
Has anyone written any new JAWS scripts for the latest version of Skype?
There are many people now using the latest version 1.3.057 where the old
scripts now don't work and one has great difficulties in accessing the =
call
contacts list.
=20
I have a lot of people in my contacts and find it very frustrating not =
to be
able to easily access the list and simply hit the enter key to call the
person.
Come on, all you budding script writers, help us all access Skype as it =
is a
fantastic form of communication!
If the scripts are really good and they enable us to access Skype, I =
would
even pay for the scripts. That's how much I value Skype!
Hope someone can help!
