I use windows 98se.
All of a sudden, whenever I want to use a favorite or go to a web link from
my desktop, allinplay, for example, instead of going to the favorite page or
the link I want, I am thrust into a search which is somehow related to msn
search where I could search for a business, look up a word, so on and so
forth. All I want to do is go where I want and avoid this msn search page.
If I type in the address from internet explorer it usually goes where I tell
it to but if I press enter on a favorite link more than likely I get this
blasted search page and it won't go on to my link.
I went into ie and unchecked search but that seemed to make no difference;
which is not too surprising since this thing says it is msn search.
I do not even use msn.
However, when my stepdaughter is here, I think she uses msn. I do not see
msn on the desktop and did not find it in programs. How can I get rid of
this msn search fluke? Help, Help.
Extremely frustrated.
