Kelly,
I must beg to differ with you about the deployment of "BPL" broad
band over power line technology.
What the pushers of this inappropriate use of wires not designed
for the purpose won't tell us is that they have to install
booster equipment and other devices every mile or so on all lines
expected to use this mess.
It's just about as cheap to install various forms of microwave
relay for wireless broadband which is much easier to place where
you want it. You can direct a microwave signal to a receiver
accurately. Power lines leak signal everywhere its not wanted.
, "BPL" is a disaster for many evergency communications
services amateur radio among others.
It reminds me of someone trying to sell the idea of running gas
and water in the same pipes. That's over doing it a bit, but BPL
is a bad idea that can't be fixed by the support of an irrational
administration.
