Hello Deborah and other interested parties;

Received this tip from Kim komando Electronic News letter Feb. 7. Hope you
find it useful.

EXPORT YOUR E-MAIL FROM OUTLOOK EXPRESS
A caller last week who did not get on the air because of time running
out wanted to store his e-mail on a CD. He uses Outlook Express. Well,
Nick, there's a hard way and an easy way.

First, the hard way: Click File>>Export>>Messages. Follow the wizard.
This will export the e-mail to Microsoft Outlook. You can then export
it to a file from Outlook, and from there burn it to a CD. This process
assumes you have Outlook, part of the Microsoft Office package.

There are shareware programs that will do this easily. Try Outlook
Express Email Saver ($14), ABF Outlook Express Backup ($30) and Outlook
Express Backup Genie ($30). Find them at, respectively:
    http://www.mazepath.com/home.html
    http://www.abf-soft.com/outlook-express-backup.shtml
    http://www.amicutilities.com/outlook-express-backup/

But if you want a free backup program for OE, try this one:

Subject: Needing help transfering email

: Hi everyone,
: I am changing from one system to another soon. Outlook Express has long
: been my filing cabinet -- storing lots of messages in lots of folders. I
: thought I could use the export feature to send these messages out to be
: copied onto my new computer, but in looking at that feature just now, it
: appears to be only for transfering messages to another email program. Can
: anyone tell me how to copy one whole folder of Outlook Express messages to
: another place/
:
: Thanks,
: Deborah Kendrick
