Hi listers,
I forgot if someone ever mentionded on this list the existence of Talx,
a screen reading program for the Nokia Cellphones. They already have a
version for the 9110 phones OR American equivalent". I just enquired about
the new version for the 92.. models and I am forwarding you the information.
I have not bought it yet but I think it is a valuable product and the screen
reader is not so expensive: about $300.
For more info on the current version, go to

: Hello, Séverine!
:
: TALX 9200 will be release by the end of this year or the beginning of
January, starting
: with English, German, and Italian, followed by French and Spanish.
:
: The 9210/9210i does not use Windows CE! These phones use the operating
system
: "Symbian", formerly called "Epoc". Symbian seems to become a standard forr
mobile
: phones that do more than usual. For instance, Nokia has also developed
this into a
: software package they call "Series 60" and sell to other manufacturers.
Companies
: have left behind Microsoft and went to Nokia to licence Series 60 instead.
The first
: phone to use Series 60 is the Nokia 7650, which we will address by a
future version of
: TALX, probably showing it at the Cebit fair in March 2003.
:
: TALX 9200 is the only screen reader for the Symbian platforrm so far, and
it supports
: all models of the 9200 series, i.e. the 9210, the 9210i, and the 9290
(U.S. version) by
: Nokia.
:
: Kind regards
