Hello.  A while ago, I wrote to these lists describing a problem I had
accessing certain Web sites, including the Microsoft Windows Update site.
My problems appear to have been fixed.  I would like to thank all of you who
wrote to me with various solutions.  The problem turned out to be a
ridiculous amount of spyware or adware which had piled up on my computer
over months, possibly years.  I fbegan to suspect this was the problem and
downloaded AdAware, which found all sorts of spyware which I have now
deleted, and my computer appears to be running fine now.
