Hello list,
A couple of months ago I bought a mini viewer from Telesensory. I have
been meaning to post my thoughts on it in case anyone else is looking for a
similar product.
I am quite happy with the mini viewer. It is about 8 by 9 by 4 in its
case and is quite light, much lighter than a laptop. The viewing screen
itself is about 5 by 3. You move the machine over the paper rather than
move the paper under the machine. It does come with a small stand so that
you can mount the viewer and slide paper under it like a CCTV. This does
not work too well though; the resolution is just not that great when it is
on the stand. There are color settings but I tend to always use black &
white. The resolution is very good. I use it mostly for travel. You can
read menus, phone books and even maps. I would think it would be kind of a
pain to read a large document. It uses a rechargeable battery that comes
with it as well as a regular electric outlet. My only complaints about the
mini viewer is that the case is not well padded so offers little protection
for the camera / viewer . I also find it a little difficult to disconnect
and reconnect the battery. All in all though I am very satisfied with it.
Happy new year to all,
Sherry Wells
