As regards the "empty address book," try the following:
From the INBOX, press CONTROL+SHIFT+B.
This will bring up the ADDRESS BOOK.
JAWS should now say something like ""ADDRESS BOOK, MAIN IDENTITY, [and
Whatever Your MAIN E-Mail Identity is]".
JAWS should also say, "Type name, or select from list : EDIT."
Don't do anything yet.
Press the TAB key once.
Now JAWS should say, "List View," and begin by reading the very first
contact in this IDENTITY section of your ADDRESS BOOK (if any).
NOTE: Pressing the down and up arrows will enable you to scroll through the
list of contacts (if any) in this, your MAIN IDENTITY section of your
ADDRESS BOOK.
Press the TAB key a second time, and this time JAWS should say, "TREE VIEW,
MAIN IDENTITY, [your MAIN IDENTITY]'s contacts open."
Using the cursor up and down arrow keys, scroll up, and JAWS should say,
"Shared Contacts." TAB twice, and this will put you in the list of contacts
in your Shared Contacts list.
If you don't find your list of contacts here, press TAB again to return to
the list of your identities. Again, use the up and down arrow keys to
locate and identify the various other identities you have in your ADDRESS
BOOK.
When you land on yet another identity, again press the TAB key twice to move
over to the list of names in that identity section of your address book, and
again use the up and down cursor keys to scroll through the list of contacts
in that particular identity section of your address book.
Using this technique, you should be able to quickly locate thos identities
that have been hiding from you all this time.
Hope this helps!. Let me know.
