Subject: AT Job Opening!

Position:  Coordinator of the Simon Technology Center (Assistive
Technology Center)

Supervisor:  Rianne Leaf, Programs Director

Status:  Full-time, Exempt

The PACER Simon Technology Center, in Minneapolis, MN offers
information, referral, and professional training on assistive technology
topics.  Assistive technology is used to help individuals with
disabilities to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

*       Responsible for day-to-day management and assist with
strategic planning and direction of an innovative Assistive 
Technology Center that serves families of children with disabilities.

*       Supervise staff, interns and volunteers to accomplish short
and long term goals of the center.

*       Write foundation, state, and federal grants to contribute to
the financial solvency of the center.
*       Lead evaluation and outcomes data tracking for the programs
within the center.

*       Manage various budgets from federal, state, and foundation
grants.

*       Create innovative business and technology solutions to grow
the center.

*       Work with a broad cross-section of people including families
of children with disabilities, staff, board members, and culturally
and racially diverse members of the community.

*       Maintain positive working relationships and collaborate
efforts with local organizations, vendors, and schools across the state.

*       Plan and present on assistive technology topics statewide
and nationally.

*       Coordinate and edit the Computer Monitor newsletter

(circulation 15,000) and write articles for other publications as needed.

*       Other activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

*       College degree in relevant area.

*       Capability and leadership in technology that will help
people with disabilities.

*       Experience working with a broad range of people, including
children with disabilities.

*       Expertise with assistive and educational technology.

*       Ability to use time efficiently and oversee multiple tasks

and
goals.

*       Excellent organization skills, accuracy and attention to
detail.

*       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

*       Ability to provide transportation and flexibility to travel.

Desired Qualifications:

*       Assistive Technology certification (i.e.: CSUN, RESNA)

*       Knowledge of assistive technology market and implementation
in schools.

encouraged to apply.

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
