Yes, it definitely does not have a PS2 port. It has 2 USB ports, a parallel
port, a port to attach an external monitor and S video out.
I gave up a bought another keyboard. The only purpose in keeping the old one
was that it just fit an the small keyboard tray I use. The replacement
doesn't fit as well but I'll get used to it.

Are you sure that it doesn't have a PS2 port? Is there a
mouse port? If so, that port is a dual port that can be
used with both a mouse and keyboard when you add a
splitter made for the ThinkPad. You can see one at:
