Richard: "I'm against censorship as well. But I have the right to post
polite, well reasoned questions and comments to the list with the
expectation that I won't be insulted in response. And I expect to be able to
read the list without seeing references to "the clownish Richard" several
weeks after my last post."
Agreed. Since when did asking a modicum of decency from list participants
become censorship? Like anyone, Andrew's free to post his ideas. And I
hope he continues because, in my opinion, he's dead on right 99% of the
time. But if he can't refrain from the personal attacks, he needs to go.
Andrew, you're in possession of a deeper understanding of the subject than
anyone else on this list. Use that understanding as well as your excellent
reasoning abilities to further the paleo cause, not to take a mean-spirited
harvest of satisfaction in bringing down what you perhaps rightly see as the
inferior opinions of others.
I would second Gregg's suggestion that "the listserv manager to begin
filtering Andrew's posts, and deleting those that use ad hominem attacks and
that are otherwise mean-spirited."
