Well said, Ken.  I'll be seeing my dad on the 19th and 20th of this month
after not having visited them in a year.  It's a real drag having them live
1100 miles away, but at least they're still on this earth.

Listen to Ken on the gift receiving, Mag.  I'm sure your daddy gets real
pleasure from giving to you.

is the 2nd fathers day without my dad, and parkingsons
has taken my mothers memory. she is not aware that we
visted her 5 minutes after we leave. my sister said
she does not think my mother knows who she is. two
weeks ago she at least knew us, but we were talking in
a world of years ago.
  your dad wants to give you something. you know that
you are giving him pleasure by accepting his gifts.
the old "more blessed to give than recieve" is true,
but, if someone don't recieve, then how can another
give?
