That's what I was trying to say, Kat. That pure communism is a myth. I went
to Russia just two weeks before the coup de tat. (1993?)  people were lined up
for mcdonalds, and my ex's boss got the phone number for mcdonalds and we
ordered in. of course we had the luxury, and the cash to do it. My ex put the
satellite dishes in the octorborski hotel, (the official hotel of the cccp) and
the bank of TV's in the lobby belied what the got tried to keep from the
citizens because they could not shut off the Spanish channel which had news in
English, so in a way, my ex helped the people of Moscow.  We got a kick out of it
later when dan rather displayed the bank of TV's and explained what had taken
place.
