WELL, KAT, I WAS NOT EVEN GOING TO REPLY, BUT, YOU SAID IT ALL ANYWAY. They
plans would have to be in the area to pick up the sniper. It is
sophisticated equipment but, it does have to be pointed at the right area.
By the time the area is known, the guy is gone,

I think he probably comes back later in a different colored car like a chevy
or saturn or something, just to take in all the activity that he has caused,
it probably feeds his ego.

The u.s. military is the best in the world.

Uh, Mag, it's the local police who're looking for him, not the feds. The
military is loaning their serveillence planes, but that's all, I think.
Kyle
or Ken, correct me if I'm wrong. You're talking about two completely
different situations here.

I don't think the military spy aircraft will be able to help as it's too
easy
for the sniper to go underground, so to speak, and there are far too many
white vans on the road for one to stand out in a getaway. This is a wiley
fox, one who probably chose a white van for the very inconspicuousness of it
and probably blends in well enough not to stand out in any way. I'd venture
to guess he is essentially a loner who doesn't socialise very much and keeps
to himself or to very few people. It's not like hunting down Saddam or Bin
Ladin who surround themselves with an army of men with rifles or bombs which
can be easily detected.

I'm not trying to defend Bush or his foreign policy, I'm just defending the
military which can only do so much in this situation. You could say this
could
be termed as 'urban guerilla warfare,' but it's not even that.
