 Dear Readers,

 I have recently joined this list to try to determine the level of
 interest in some development aspects that I am working on/could
 work on.   I am severely hearing impaired as well as blind, which
 as a software developer has lead me to concene=rate very heavily
 on the use and improvement of Braille Facilities.

 Text Builder is a JAWS script file designed to install at the
 default level and modify some aspects of the screenreader's
 operation.   The name is due to the ultimate objective of making
 information stay available for Braille reading after it has
 disappeared from the screen and providing a Say All feature for
 Braille users, but the current version does many other things to
 improve Braille.   Most of the script output that is normally
 only spoken appears on the Braille display as well, which in most
 cases is "clean", no broken words at the end.   There are also
 script functions to display Braille messages that stay put until
 removed, regardless of what is happening on the screen.

 I am in process of re-organising my web site, which will also
 feature a Windows reader program, and will post versions of Text
 Builder for JAWS 3.5 and 3.7 soon. 4.X provides some Text
 Builder-like features in itself and I do not yet have Text
 Builder ready for it.   Text Builder is not actually freeware,
 but the first releases will not have any restriction on their use
 due to its not being a completed product yet and the
 documentation being incomplete.

 I should stress that it is primarily for Braille users, only some
 of the more recent features are of any use with speech only.

 I wsould be happy to e-mail it to anyone in the meantime who
 would like to test it.

 I will post again as I have some more areas to mention and see if
 anyone already has solutions.
