Wow, Congrats to heather! And congrats to you, her Mom!
As far as pain goes, I can think of several things that may help. One is get
into a hot tub at the Y or a spa, a Jacuzzi really helps!  then a more long
term thing would be for her to try Feldenkrais methods bodywork.  The leg pain
is awful. I know, I have it. I think it's from the body just being worn out
from walking for 40-plus years with an abnormal gait. Also has she had
therapeutic massage?
