You want to tune for highest pitch on forward power, and no pitch
fluctuation when transmitter is keyed on reflected power.  Now on my mfj,
the meter is in series with the watt meter potentiometer.  You can't
therefore put the oscillator across the meter.  You have to put it across
the pot.
It is a more sensitive and accurate tuning system than the meter it's self.
