HI all. The TMV7a will crossband repeat, but the 707 will not, since it
can't listen on both bands at the same time. I use this feature on my
Yaesu FT5100 quite a bit, as it is nice to be able to work your favorite
simplex frequency with a couple hundred milawatts and an HT! GRIN! One
feature I wish I had is the ability to control the main band from the sub
band, which would make the crossband repeater frequency ajile. I don't
know if the TMV7a will do this, but the TM742 will. I always have wanted
an Icom IC2410, which would also speak the frequency of the main band
over the sub band. Maybe someday I will find one used at a good deal.
