Heads up Madison People! If you are young, black and talented (or think
so and are not ashamed to find out!) then here is your chance! Madison's
very own, TJ Moore, local author and playwright, will be holding
auditions tomorrow for a significant event in Madison History. For those
of us who were born and raised here (or transplanted a looong time
ago!), the thought that there would one day be a play, featuring local
people of color, that is contemporary and not about slavery or "back in
the day" stuff - would have been lofty. This isn't your grandparents
type of theater, this is a play about life TODAY, not what we want it to
be or what it was, but what it is!!!
I hope to see you there :)

Auditions for "So Emotional" will be held December 2, 2003 at 14 w
Mifflin st. (Kimia Lounge) from 6:30pm-9pm. Here is what you have to be
prepared for auditions: 1: prepare a 1 minute monologue of your favorite
T.V sitcom character. It can be a past or present T.V sitcom character.
2:When you arrive at the auditions you will be given character
description of all the characters. You will have to write a 1 minute
monologue about the character you want to try out for.
I want the audition to be fun and different; a nice break from the
norm. You need not have any acting background to try out. I have acting
coaches and other performing arts professionals that will be assisting
with this process. Please feel free to pass along this information
about this play. I also have a Spanish speaking role for the play; if
you are or know any who is English/Spanish speaking please pass this on
to them as well. I hope to hear from many and I hope many will try out.
Thank you for your time.
Tauvaris J. Moore
