Two meetings have been held toward organizing the Communities United
Exclusionary Zoning Forum. The first with The Centers for Democracy, as
well
as Alder Brenda Konkel and silent alder Megan Hicks :) and Hedi
Rudd/Dan
Guerra of CU - the other was with members of CU.
During the 1st meeting we brainstormed ideas for how this conference
could
"put a face" on exclusionary zoning and engage the general public,
specifically diverse communities in the IZ discussion. The 2nd meeting
was
to make decisions on dates and other logistical matters.
Below are the dates/places/potential partners etc. that we have come
up
with. I am submitting it to our membership for feedback. If you wish
to
receive a copy of the notes from the first meeting, which include a
tentative agenda for the forum, please let me know. I will forward them
to
you.
