Thank you all for your wonderful responses for where to eat and shop in
San Francisco!

One good website that lists the restaurants that most recommended is:
http://celiacsupport.stanford.edu/Restaurants/restaurants.htm. Three others
that were mentioned a few times are Chevys, Malterhorn, Rick and Ann's in
Berkeley and Sushi at Okazu Ya on Taaral St. uses real crab and will make
sushi without using vinegar. Hyde Street Bistro sounds very GF friendly.
Myas, or El Sotano for Mexican . Greens for vegetarian I know is good.
Restaurants in Chinatown, generally, seem to be willing to help us, (bring
your own soy sauce). Also Tai, and Japanese in general, (watch out for fake
crab). For celiac-friendly restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf I was given
[log in to unmask] as an address for a guide but I haven't recieved an
answer to my request. I assume it will be easy to order with ease there.

Stores that were recommended by most are Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Also
Rainbow Grocery.

Thanks again, I'm well prepared. All I need is my toothbrush.
